Global Climate Change Calls for Global Generosity!

#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3. It's an opportunity to give a tax deductible donation to support Wishtoyo Foundation and its Ventura Coastkeeper program that works year round to protect our local, regional and global waterways, endangered species, and capacity building in local and indigenous communities being hit the hardest by climate change.

Wishtoyo Foundation has 22 years experience in providing traditional ecological knowledge based programs for over 4,000 environmental stewards each year through its Marine Protected Areas, California Naturalist, First Nations Summer Field Study, and Summer Internship programs; in addition to its legal and watershed science internships and fellowships which have produced opportunities for Indian law clinic and science students to get hands on experience before going on to make a powerful difference in local and tribal communities.

This coming year we have a goal of establishing a First Nations Ecological and Cultural conservancy building on our newly acquired 100 Acre property on the Utom (Santa Clara) River. The Utom River is one of the last free-flowing rivers in Southern California and one that Wishtoyo Foundation and its Ventura Coastkeeper program have been successful in over 20 legal victories in protecting natural cultural resources, endangered species, water flow, water quality, and environmental justice for local and indigenous communities. But we can't build and be successsful without your support!

Global Climate Change calls for Global Generosity. Over the past few years we've all seen the weather change dramatically. Wishtoyo has been personally impacted and endured, four major fires, evacuations, mudslides, and yet more evacuations. Climate Change is real and we really need to join hands, heads and hearts to reverse it. Let's do this thing! Every dollar donated to Wishtoyo Foundation on #GivingTuesday, December 3rd will be matched up to $20,000.
