Dear Wishtoyo Friends, Family and Community,

We hope you and your loved ones are doing well during this difficult and confusing time. Wishtoyo’s top priority is the well-being of our community as a whole – Elders, youth, and the general public at large. As health protocols and safety standards continue to develop in response to COVID-19, we are carefully following all available measures to limit the spread of this new virus.

For the protection of our students, partners, staff, families, and community Wishtoyo is cancelling all events, in-person meetings, on-site educational programming indefinitely. Both Wishtoyo Chumash Village in Malibu and our First Nations Ecological Cultural Conservancy and offices in Santa Paula will be closed until further notice. Our team will continue working remotely to carry on our fight protecting the natural cultural resources we all depend upon.

Especially during this time of social distancing and self-isolation, we feel it is important to stay connected to one another. We will be offering remote educational and cultural programming which will be posted as we develop these online learning resources. Look for our updates on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WishtoyoChumashVillage/
