Volunteer Opportunities
Please
join us in
monitoring and protecting the water quality and ecological integrity
of Ventura County’s rivers, streams, and coastal waters by
becoming
a volunteer member of a VCK Stream Team.
In the field, we measure and record river flows, algae, trash,
pH, air and water temperature, turbidity, conductivity, water color,
water odor, and dissolved oxygen. We also take samples to analyze for
bacteria and nutrients in our laboratory.
If
you're interested in
learning about water quality and participating in sampling /
monitoring
events, please email
Jason with your name and contact information!
